Thank you for your interest in a position at Valley Trails Summer Camp.  Working at our Valley Trails Summer Camp will give you the opportunity to develop 21st Century Skills that focus on leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.  If you are looking for a rewarding yet challenging and fun-filled experience, this is your match.

Valley Trails Summer Camp believes in leading by example, role modeling and providing a safe and positive environment for our campers and leaders.  Valley Trails Summer Camp is looking for individuals who want to connect with campers and make a difference in the lives of others.  To be successful at this, our leaders must bring energy and enthusiasm, good judgment, and strong character.  We grow our camper by teaching life skills with include respect, problem-solving, and how to make and be a good friend. 

ALL Valley Trails Summer Camp Leaders will be required to show proof of COVID-19 Vaccination prior to May 1, 2025.

POSITIONS

Senior Leader

Each summer, approximately 30 Senior Leaders  (High School Graduates and above).  Senior leaders consist of group leaders and specialists.  Specialty positions include Arts & Crafts, Dance, Ropes Course, and Cooking.

Salaries start at $17.75/hour

Assistant Leader

Valley Trails Summer Camp employs about 8 Assistant Leaders (Juniors and Seniors in High School).  These leaders will assist our Senior Leaders with our groups and with special events.

Salaries start at $15/hour

SUMMER DATES & HOURS

Summer begins on June 16 and will end on August 8, 2025.  Leader Training will begin on May 31 and is required for employment.  Leaders must be available for at least 7 of the 8 weeks (not including training).

Our typical work hours are from 7:15 a.m. - 3:45 p.m. or 8:30 am. - 5:00 p.m.  Several of our leaders will also be responsible for extended camp supervision with varying hours. 

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING, AND CERTIFICATION

Valley Trails Summer Camp does not require that our leaders have any prior experience.  We will provide an intensive and thorough training prior to summer ensuring that all of our leaders have the necessary skills and tools to be successful.  

Certifications are not required, however, any current certifications will always be beneficial in the hiring process.

LOCATION

Valley Trails Summer Camp is located on the campus of Woodcrest School at 6043 Tampa Avenue, in Tarzana.  We primarily serve the San Fernando Valley and surrounding areas.
